Anthony Ogogo will become the first Team GB boxing medallist from the London Olympics to turn professional when he teams up with Oscar de la Hoya’s prestigious Golden Boy Promotions.   An announcement confirming a contract believed to be in excess of three years in length is expected in the next few days.

Cyclist Mark Colbourne has secured Britain's first medal at the London Paralympics by claiming silver in the velodrome this afternoon.   Colbourne was riding in the C1-2-3 1km time trial alongside fellow Briton Darren Kenny who just missed out on a medal by finishing in fourth.
