The rift is deepening between Danielli Morelli, manager of Renault driver Robert Kubica, and Team Renault, after Renault put out an announcement earlier this week claiming Kubica, who suffered serious injury in a rallying accident in February, may not be fit to drive in the 2012 season.

England captain Alastair Cook has spoken out about his side’s disastrous one day international series against India.   Cook's side lost by 95 runs after collapsing from 129-0 to 176 all out at the end of the final match of a 5-0 series whitewash defeat.   "It's a bit of a shock” Cook said.

British rider Bradley Wiggins claimed silver as Germany's Tony Martin lived up to his billing as favourite to lift his first time trial world title in Copenhagen. Martin showed his class by completing the course in 53 minutes 43. 85 seconds with Wiggins finishing one minute 15. 88 seconds behind in second.

Former Arsenal manager George Graham as told current boss Arsene Wenger to turn things around quickly or face the sack.   Graham managed Arsenal between 1986 and 1997 and his sides were known for their steel in defense, however he believes Wenger's current crop  aren't up to the challenge.

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus still believes Tiger Woods can eclipse his record haul of 18 major championships despite his compatriot's current slump in form. Woods dominated golf for a decade, amassing 14 majors and numerous Tour titles, but following revelations about his personal life has struggled to find his best form.

West Ham midfielder Kevin Nolan has urged former teammate Joey Barton to leave Newcastle in favour of a move to Upton Park. The pair formed a lethal partnership at the north east club and Nolan has suggested that Barton would probably consider a move to West Ham after falling out with the Newcastle hierarchy.
