Makau Breaks World Record at Berlin Marathon
Haile Gebrselassie’s two decades of dominating the world
of distance running has come to an end as the marathon world
record was shattered by Patrick Makau in Berlin at the
weekend. Gebrselassie was forced to retire from the race after 35
kilometres with breathing difficulties.
