World number one Victoria Azarenka continued her undefeated streak with victory over British prospect Heather Watson who had impressed in making it to the third round in Miami.
Watson won just one game against Azarenka when the pair met at the Australian Open and it was only slightly better for the Brit as she was beaten 6-0 6-2 at the Sony Ericsson Open.
The win meant that it was 25 consecutive victories in 2012 for the 22-year-old who was rarely troubled by her young opponent.
The 19-year-old from Guernsey had caused a major shock in the second round when she managed to beat world number 25 Lucie Safarova in impressive fashion.
Watson had rallied in the first round when she was 5-0 in the deciding set but managed to beat Sorana Cirstea and her good run in Miami will mean she will leap forward in the rankings.
Meanwhile, Azarenka continues her march and will next play sixteenth seed Dominika Cibulkova who progressed with a 6-2 6-0 win over Zheng Jie.
