Ahead of Saturday's race at Val Gardena, Sweden's Hans Olsson led downhill training for the second successive day.
The 27-year-old from Mora registered a time of one minute, 57.48 seconds on the Saslong course, five seconds quicker than his first run on Wednesday.
Second was Austrian Klaus Kroell, 1.22 seconds behind while Germany's Tobias Stechert came in third a further 1.93 back.
"I can't explain my lead," said Olsson.
"I felt I skied very well, but I can hardly believe I was so fast. Today the slope was like a dance floor. I felt as though I was dancing into the finish."
