England Women laid down a marker in the second group game of the Rugby World Cup as they recorded an emphatic 82-0 win against Kazakhstan.
England made 12 changes to the side that brushed aside Ireland 27-0 in the tournament opener and once again put on a dominant display that proved the host nation will be one of the favourites to lift the trophy.
Fiona Pocock was named Woman of the Match thanks in large to her hat-trick of tries but there were plenty of stand out performances in the England line-up.
Charlotte Barras also grabbed a hat-trick while Sarah Beale gave an outstanding display in her first outing for England this year.
England dominated the contest from the start with fullback Pocock grabbing the opening try after just three minutes.
Tries from Barras, Beale, Katherine Merchant and centre Rachel Burford made the score 42-0 at the break with Katy McLean converting every opportunity.
After the break England kept up their ruthless display as they added another six tries. Pocock and Barras completed their hat-tricks and there were tries for La Toya Mason, Rozz Crowley and Amber Penrith.
England Head Coach Gary Street spoke oh his delight with the victory. "It's really pleasing to get a result like this, especially in these windy conditions. We have still got to look to iron out some errors so there are things to work on but Kazakhstan certainly put on a physical and committed performance tonight.
"Our defence was good, the forwards grafted hard and got the good clean ball out to our backs, so really they deserve a lot of credit for this result. I think the result tonight also underlines that we have a squad of 26 who are capable of winning this world cup, not just a team of 22 and that is vital."
Next up for England will be the USA in the final game of the pool stages on Saturday at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.
