Double Paralympic gold medallist Ellie Simmonds won her third world title at the IPC World Swimming Championships when she blew away the rest of the field in the 200m individual medley.
Simmonds was just thirteen years old when she won her two gold medals in Beijing and became the youngest ever recipient of an MBE.
Competing in the World Championships in Eindhoven, Simmonds not only brought home the title but also set a new world record time in the process.
Speaking after the race Simmonds described her joy at winning yet another title. "I was so nervous before the race because i really wanted to go and win and get the record.
""I am really happy to be on top of the podium again. I went into it thinking that it was going to need a world record to win that race and to do that is great."
Simmonds was sixth at the 100m mark but managed to turn around her fortunes in the second half of the race where her speed in the breaststroke and freestyle legs helped her overhaul Verena Schott of Germany to finish in a record time of three minutes 9.04 seconds.
In the men's 200m medley, Sascha Kindred managed to match Simmonds achievements by winning gold and breaking the world record. Jonothan Fox and Daniel Pepper also added two more British golds in the 100m backstroe and the 100m breaststroke.
