BRITAIN SQUEEZE PAST BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA

Great Britain continued their good form in the European Championship qualifiers as they edges past Bosnia- Herzegovina 84-80 in Sarajevo.

In a close encounter where Britain's star players, Luol Deng and Pops Mensah-Bonsu, where both denied the ball it was left to Dan Clark to inspire the win.

Clark starred with 23 points, including five three-pointers while Nate Reinking added 21 including hitting the winning free throws with four seconds left.

Clark's performance was praised by Head Coach Chris Finch. ""Dan's been playing like that all tournament so far," he told BBC Sport. "Tonight he just had more opportunities because of all the attention that was going to Luol."

Mensah-Bonsu might have been denied points by the Bosnian defense but was still influential claiming 12 rebounds while even the close attention paid to Deng could not stop him scoring 16 points.

Britain now head into a double-header on home soil where they will take on Ukraine and then Hungary. Victory in the two games would give the inexperienced side a great chance of qualifying for next year's EuroBasket in Lithuania.

Heading into these games at the top of Group C, coach Finch praised the performance against a well drilled Bosnian team.

"I always felt this team wasn't the type that was going to go out and win by 20 points. Everyone's going to play difficult against us. We've put ourselves in a position to capitalise on what's coming up."
