West Ham Striker Completes Loan Move to Gillingham

Gillingham have completed a deal for West Ham striker Frank Nouble after spending weeks trying to bring another forward to the club.

The 19-year-old joins the Gills on an initial one-month loan deal and will hope to make an immediate impact after realising that he would not be a member of the West Ham first team.

The former Chelsea youth striker has struggled to make an impact at Upton Park since moving to West Ham in 2009 and has had loan spells at West Brom, Swindon, Swansea, Barnsley and Charlton.

Nouble will travel with the squad ahead of Saturday's match against Hereford and Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler has told of his delight at landing the powerfully built striker.

"He is a quick one so will bring something different to the side.

"He has good experience and should slot in nicely alongside Danny Kedwell and hopefully bring a few goals to the club.

"Frank has an excellent pedigree and comes to us from a proper club and i would like to thank West Ham and Ian Hendon for helping us out on this one."
