West Ham United have secured the services of Nigeria forward Wictor Obinna on a season-long loan deal from European champions Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old forward appeared at the World Cup for the Super Eagles but has found first team opportunities limited at Inter with the likes of Diego Milito, Samuel Etoo and Goran Pandev all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Obinna was signed by Inter from Chievo in 2008 but made just nine appearances for the Nerazzuri and was eventually sent on loan to Spanish side Malaga where he spent the whole of last season.
Obinna becomes the club's sixth summer signing after the acquisitions of Thomas Hitzlesperger, Tal Ben Haim , Winston Reid, Pablo Barrera and fellow forward Frederic Piquionne.
The deal is said to include an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
