West Ham Defender Linked with £3m Premier League Move

Newly promoted Premier League side QPR are ready to raid fellow London club West Ham for talented young defender James Tomkins and are ready to make an offer of £3million for the centre-back.

Tomkins has been impressing many in the Championship with his assured displays for West Ham who have started the season in superb fashion and currently sit second in the league.

While West Ham are hoping to secure an immediate return to the Premier League, QPR will test the players resolve by offering him the chance to return to the top league in January.

QPR boss Neil Warnock is keen to strengthen his squad in the New Year and has been promised funds by chairman Tony Fernandes.

Warnock wants to bring the best young English talent to the club and would like to partner Tomkins with former West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand who is also earning rave reviews at Loftus Road.

However, West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has become a huge fan of the former England Under-21 and is determined to keep him at the club by offering him a new and improved contract.
