Wenger Considers £10m Bid for Brazilian Starlet

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly been alerted to the news that Sao Paulo midfielder Casemiro could be available in the January transfer window for as little as £10million. 

 

The highly rated midfielder is considered one of the best young players in Brazil after starring for the youth team that won the FIFA Under-20 World Cup earlier this year. 

 

His superb performances earned him a call-up to the full national team and alongside fellow youngsters Neymar and Leandro Damiao, is considered the future of the Brazil side. 

 

According to reports in Brazil, Sao Paulo are well aware of interest from across Europe and are now considering cashing in on the player as the winter transfer window fast approaches. 

 

The 19-year-old's superb performances have alerted the Arsenal scouting system and the north London club are keen to beat their rivals to the players signature with the likes of AC MIlan and Juventus both being linked with the midfielder. 

 

Arsenal signed Mikel Arteta and Gervinho in the summer but Wenger knows that he still needs to further strengthen his squad if the club are to continue to compete at the very highest level. 

 

With both Manchester clubs being linked with numerous played in the January transfer window, it seems Wenger is keen to do business and has highlighted Casemiro as the man to help replace the departed Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
