Despite the fact that negotiations are under way at Fiorentina to keep him at the club, Stevan Jovetic is still the focus of attention at Chelsea.
Jovetic missed last season with a knee injury, but returned to action with a vengeance and has already scored twice in four Serie A matches this term.
Fiorentina are keen to persuade the Montenegro winger to commit his long-term future to them and are said to have offered him a five-year deal worth £1.8million a season, but reports in Italy suggest Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is still in pursuit of the 21-year-old.
His new contract is reported to contain a £21 million release clause and should the youngster be persuaded to sign, Chelsea will reportedly continue to monitor his progress with a view to activating the clause.
The youngster's agent, Fali Ramadani, is due to travel to Florence on Sunday for talks about the ex- Partizan Belgrade star's future.
Asked about the link to Chelsea, he responded: “These are just rumours that do not need a comment. They are always a concern, but our priority is to meet with the directors of Fiorentina.”
