United Following Celtic Star

United Following Celtic Star

Manchester United are reported to be interested in Celtic superstar Victor Wanyama.

The defensive midfielder is said to be highly rated by United scouts which will come as a blow to Arsenal who are also rumoured to be interested in the 21-year-old Kenyan. Wanyama has been linked with the Gunners since the summer but it seems Sir Alex Ferguson could hijack the deal.

The 6ft 2in youngster has represented Celtic 38 times scoring 8 goals and has pulled on his national shirt 23 times grabbing one goal.

It is believed Sir Alex's brother Martin, who is a United scout, has been singing the players praises after watching him in action this season. Celtic manager Neil Lennon stamped a £25 million price tag on Wanyama's head, but it is believe this price could be negotiated.

Reports from Italy suggest Nani is inching closer to the exit, with Juventus being the prime candidate for the Portuguese wingers signature.

To add to Arsenal's misery another player, Columbian Giancarlo Poveda, has decided to join Spanish giants Barcelona rather than for the Gunners.
