Tottenham Use Agent to Try and Broker Deal for £20m-Rated Brazilian Striker

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is working with an agent to try and convince Internacional striker Leandro Damiao to make the move to White Hart Lane this summer.

The agent in question is Leon Angel who recently set up a Brazilian arm of his agency and is said to have been recruited by the north London club to try and convince Damiao to choose Spurs.

The Brazil international has become one of the most sought after strikers in South America after an impressive goal scoring record for his club in 2011.

Damiao scored 40 goals in 51 appearances last year and was particular impressive in the Copa Libertadores where he managed to score four goals in eight games.

A report on goal.com believes that Tottenham want to try and sign the striker but believe that it would cost them in the region of £20million.

The reason they are using Angel and his Base Soccer Agency is that he was able to broker the deal that saw another Brazilian come to Tottenham, in midfielder Sandro.

Tottenham are working hard to identify the best players in Brazil and have brought Sao Paulo defender Bruno Uvini to the club on a trial basis. The centre-back is the captain of the Under-20 side and helped Brazil win the U20 World Cup in 2011.
