Tottenham Target £8m Move for Manchester City Striker

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is keen to land Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy in the summer transfer window according to The Metro.

Bellamy spent the whole of last season on loan at Championship side Cardiff City and has stated he would like to stay with Cardiff next season.

However with Cardiff failing it to make it past Reading in the Championship play-offs and with Man City wanting cash for their fringe players it is believed Bellamy will have to move on.

That has opened the door for Spurs' manager Redknapp who tried to sign the Welsh international last summer, but City were refusing to sell to their rivals for fourth place.

It is now thought Man City are open to selling players to Spurs, and Redknapp who is looking to bolster his forward line after the current crop of strikers at White Hart Lane, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko scoring just 18 Premier League goals between them.

Bellamy will be available for in the region of £8million and a move back to London with Spurs' could be very likely and see the 31-year-old feature regularly in the first-team.

This season Bellamy made 24 appearances for Cardiff in the Championship and scored nine goals.
