Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a three-year deal for former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas, as they look to find a quick replacement following Harry Redknapp’s departure from the club.
According to reports on talkSPORT, Spurs supremo Daniel Levy is ready to offer the Portuguese a swift return to football, after being sacked by Chelsea in March.
Villas-Boas was relieved of his duties following a dismal run in the league and poor showing in the Champions League, which was compounded by the blue’s first leg capitulation at the hands of Napoli.
However, it appears as though the Spurs board are prepared to take a punt on the former Porto boss, after seemingly missing out on first choice candidate David Moyes, who looks to be close to signing a new deal with Everton.
Daniel Levy is known to be a keen admirer of Moyes, who has been at Goodison Park for ten years, but it looks as though he will move for second choice boss Villas-Boas, who had also been linked with the vacant Liverpool post prior to Brendan Rodgers’ appointment.
