Tottenham Hotspur Preparing Move For £10m Rated French Goalkeeper

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to swoop for Olympic Lyonnais goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, as they look to replace aging squad members.

According to reports in the Mirror Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is hoping to bring in the French international, as he faces a goalkeeping headache at the end of the season.

Out-of-favour stopper Heurelho Gomes is known to be desperate to leave White Hart Lane, after being frozen out of Redknapp’s plans, and current number one Brad Friedel, who turns 41 years-old next month,  is in the twilight of his career.

French international captain Lloris, is considered one of the finest goalkeepers in the world.

Tottenham scouts have monitored his performances a number of times this season, with his maturity and decision-making thought to be two of the attributes that have stood out.

However, should Tottenham move for the 25 year-old, they will have to pay a premium fee to entice Lyon into allowing him to leave.

It has been mooted by the Mirror that a bid around the £10 million mark could be enough to secure the services of Lloris.
