Arsenal have been named as one of the clubs keeping an eye on the contract situation of Adrian Lopez who is yet to put pen to paper on a new seal at Atletico Madrid.
The 24-year-old made his debut for Spain earlier this year when he replaced Roberto Soldado and immediately made an impact as he scored a header and won a penalty kick in a 2-0 win over Serbia.
The Spanish side have made an offer that would see his wages rise, but they are worried as they have not had any word from the player, or his agent.
El Mundo has also reported that Atletico are aware of interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich, with Arsene Wenger known to be interested in the situation of the striker.
Arsenal have already brought Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski to the club, but it seems as though Wenger is looking to completely overhaul his front line with the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Carlos Vela and Nicklas Bendtner all likely to leave this summer.
