Luka Modric is a man in demand this summer as it was revealed that a number of European clubs are hopping to persuade him to leave Tottenham.
Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has tweeted that Real Madrid are preparing an offer for the creative midfielder as Jose Mourinho looks to add yet more options to his already impressive squad.
Mourinho is already overloaded with central midfielder, with the likes of Kaka, Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira, Mesut Ozil and Nuri Sahin all vying for a place in the starting line-up.
Balague also revealed that both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain had already made offers to Tottenham, though there is yet to be any word from either of the clubs or Spurs.
PSG last season proved their spending power then they signed Javier Pastore and they have managed to secure Champions League football for next season.
United are also looking to strengthen their midfield and have already signed Shinji Kagawa as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to find a long-term replacement for Paul Scholes.
Modric will seemingly have plenty of options should he decide to leave Tottenham in the coming months, but clubs will have to make a substantial offer as he is under contract until 2016.
