QPR have been alerted to the fact that Fulham striker Andy Johnson could be available in January for as little as £1million should he fail to agree a new deal.
Johnson's current contract expires at the end of the season and The People suggests that the striker is unlikely to sign a new deal and could be available at the bargain price of just £1m.
Fulham have made an initial offer to Johnson and have reportedly offered improved terms, however, it is becoming increasingly likely that Johnson may choose to move away from Craven Cottage.
Fulham signed the forward from Everton in 2009 for a fee of £10.5million, but due to injuries and a loss of form has struggled to repeat the goal scoring exploits that saw him earn and England call-up at Crystal Palace.
However, Johnson impressed earlier this season as he fired a hat-trick against QPR in a 6-0 thrashing and now the west London club are ready to try and sign the forward in the New Year.
QPR have struggled to find the back of the net since earning promotion to the Premier League and it is believed that Neil Warnock will be given funds for new signings in January.
