James Rodriguez is set for showdown talks with Porto amid speculation that Manchester United are once again interested in trying to sign the attacking midfielder.
Talksport is reporting that Manchester United have chased Rodriguez for more than a year after he first caught the eye when helping Porto secure the treble two seasons ago.
They believe that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering making an offer for the 20-year-old as he looks to freshen up his squad after the disappointment of losing out to Manchester City.
Porto are believed to rate Rodriguez at £25million and are keen to secure him to a longer contract amid interest from Manchester United.
The wingers agent, Silvio Sandri, has admitted that Porto are set to hold talks with Rodriguez but he did suggest that the process was 'complex'.
"There is nothing new to report. This is a matter to be discussed with Porto," Sandri told O Jogo, as reported on Talksport. "Within a couple of weeks I plan to go to Portugal to speak with the leaders of Porto. I cannot talk more about this as it is so complex."
There has been some reports in recent weeks suggesting that Nani could be looking to leave Old Trafford and the Colombian winger could well be a replacement should the Portugal international leave United.
