Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo is hoping his side can avoid Manchester United or Real Madrid in the next round of the Champions League.
The Bianconeri are poised to progress into the quarter finals of the tournament having hammered Celtic 3-0 at Parkhead in the first leg of their last 16 tie. Despite their performance against the SPL champions, the Italy international does not believe his side are fully equipped to go on and win the tournament this campaign.
"We're not ready to win the Champions League, even if we are still in there and giving it a go," Pirlo told La Repubblica, ESPN report. "There are sides in the competition who are a lot stronger than us."
The 33-year-old went on to identify both Real Madrid and Manchester United as sides better prepared than the Serie A champions. The two sides are tied a 1-1 in their own last 16 tie, but Pirlo insists that whichever side manages to progress will pose a greater threat than Juventus.
"They are not that far away but they are strong, stronger than us," he added. "They have champions all over the place while we don't. This is just the beginning for us."
