Mancini: Clean Sheet Important In Sunderland Victory But Balotelli Can Do Better

Manchester City stormed to victory with a 3-0 win over Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium today – their biggest victory of the season – and City boss Roberto Mancini was pleased with his side’s performance.

“We missed two or three chances like all the other games but I think we did well apart from that.” Mancini told BBC Sport.

“I think we did well against Stoke but every game is difficult but today I’m happy because of the clean sheet and because we scored three goals.

“It’s important that we scored three goals and didn’t concede any as Sunderland are a tough squad for squad for us and you can only beat them if you play a good game.

Goals from Aleksandar Kolarov,  Sergio Aguero and James Milner secured the victory and though Mancini was impressed by Kolarov the manager feels Balotelli can play better.

“Kolarov has scored three goals in three weeks and I hope that it can continue. Mario worked a lot and he had a chance. He played a good game but I think he can do better.”
