Manchester United Monitoring Prolific Dutch Striker

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

According to Click-Manchester.com, United are currently monitoring the performances of the 28 year-old marksman, with a view to making a move in the near future.

Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be a keen admirer of the Dutch striker, who has found the net 22 times in 39 appearances for the German outfit, and has scored an impressive 30 goals in 48 caps for the Dutch national team.

Huntelaar, who joined Schalke last season, was close to a move to United three seasons ago, but instead chose to join Real Madrid. While he appears to be settled in Germany, he is thought to relish the prospect of testing himself in the Premier League.

Although Manchester United's interest remains silent at the moment, it is thought that they will have to pay in excess of €15 million for his services.
