Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has once again shown the power of his scouting system after completing a £3million deal to sign 18-year-old Chilean forward Angelo Henriquez.
United were quick to sign Javier Hernandez before the rest of Europe became aware of his talent and it seems they have once again jumped ahead of the queue in order to sign another young talented striker.
Henriquez first came to the attention of the club when he played for the Chile Under-17 side in a South American tournament where he scored against Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela.
The striker was quickly brought through into the Universidad de Chile first team and last season managed to score eight goals in just 11 appearances for the side.
The Daily Mail has reported that United still need to obtain a work permit and they will have to use the 'special talent' dispensation rule as he is yet to play for the senior Chile side.
Should they not be granted an immediate work permit then United may look to loan him to another European side for a season.
