Manchester City Striker Sergio Aguero on his First Season in England

Manchester City Striker Sergio Aguero on his First Season in England

While one Argentinean striker at Manchester City caused major problems at the club it was the superb form of Sergio Ageuro that caught everyones attention.

Carlos Tevez's decision to go on exile for much of the season meant that Aguero was handed the opportunity to shine in the City first team and he certainly managed to do that.

The 23-year-old was the big signing of the summer costing around £38million, but there is little doubt that the Manchester City fans will be happy the fee was paid to Atletico Madrid.

Aguero's return of 30 goals in all competitions and 23 in the league helped City win their first Premier League title. One goal in particular has written the striker into City folklore. His 94th minute striker against QPR on the final gay of the season was the goal that shattered Manchester United's dreams of another league title.

Below Aguero talks about his first season in England, his targets for next season and his new PUMA boots.

How do you feel your first season has been?

Really good. I feel very settled in England, I am happy with my team-mates and at the club, and delighted that I was able to help us win the Premier League in my first year here.

Were you satisfied with your own performance?

Yes, I think so. I have adapted pretty well and, like I say, I am settled in England. I came to Manchester City to win titles and that is what we have done.

Where do you see room to improve?

There are lots of things to work on. It is nothing specific - my left foot, my heading - just that you have to keep working on everything, improving as much as you can. I am learning a lot every day, though. I have changed a lot as a player in England and I am sure I will keep on improving.

Do you feel settled in Manchester?

Yes, of course. I like the fans, the city, and the style of life. I am very quiet, and living here suits me. My family is very happy here, too.

What is the best thing about living in England?

When it is not raining? I like the fans. They are very respectful.

What are the targets for next season?

More titles. We have to get better, because we know our rivals will improve. And we want to make progress on Europe, too. The Champions League is important for the club.

How do you like your new boots, the evoSPEED 1 FG?

The new boots really impressed me. As a striker I always need to get up to speed very quickly and the boots seem to be perfectly suitable for this. I like how flexible the sole is, it helps me to change directions quicker and really distinguishes them from other football boots.
