Man City Striker Emerges as Number One Target for Real Madrid

Manchester City could face a battle to keep hold of prolific striker Sergio Aguero as it seems Spanish giants Real Madrid have made the Argentinean their number one transfer target this summer.

Well respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that Madrid boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Aguero and is even willing to offer Gonzalo Higuain as part of any deal for the striker.

Balague goes on to suggest that Madrid are willing to offer between €5-10million for Aguero as well as Higuain who has been in fantastic form for Madrid this season

However, it seems they are willing to part with the Argentinean in order to get to his international colleague who is aware of interest from Madrid and has retained his home in the capital where he spent five years playing for Atletico Madrid.

Aguero has taken to life in the Premier League as he has scored 17 league goals but the report suggests that he is not as happy with his home life in Manchester.

While it seems Aguero would be open to a move back to Spain, much will depend on whether Higuain would be prepared to switch the Bernabeu for the Etihad.

However, Balague believes that 24-year-old would be happy to move to City where he would remain in with a chance of winning league titles and competing in the Champions League.

Both strikers have a superb goal scoring record in Spain and it seems a deal between two of the richest clubs in Europe could well take place in the summer months.
