To kick off the new season the Football League has today launched the Official Football League Clubs’ iPhone app. Free to download, the app allows fans to keep in touch with their team wherever they are and whatever they are doing - even when being dragged around the shops on a Saturday afternoon!
The Official Football League Clubs’ iPhone app offers a bespoke design for each of the clubs in the Football League’s digital network and provides fans with all the latest news, fixtures, stats and player profiles from their chosen team. The app also enables fans to update their Facebook or Twitter profiles automatically, making it even easier to share thoughts, views and comments with their network of friends.
In addition to the free content, fans also have the option to purchase a ground-breaking premium service for just £4.99 for the entire season. This allows subscribers to watch video match highlights 24 hours after the game and incorporates Google Mapping functionality, enabling fans to find their way to any match stadium in the country with a single tap.
The Official Football League Clubs’ iPhone app also contains a “Score Predictor”, a tool that gives fans a chance to predict scores during the match. They can then compare their predictions with their fellow fans and opposition fans too. The score predictor will be continuously updated throughout the 90 minutes with all your fellow fans predictions, all in real time.
Subscribers can also look forward to regular app updates, with an innovative “Live Match Centre” due to launch in September. These regular app updates are aiming to introduce unique features in the football iPhone app market such as a promotion & relegation tracker and a special visualisation of match stats.
