Everton are rumoured to be weighing up an offer for Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos, after it was revealed that he could be leaving the club this summer.
With Everton expected to sign a new striker during the transfer window, talkSPORT claim that Castaignos fits the bill perfectly, with Toffees boss Moyes hoping to sign the 19 year-old in a cut-price deal.
Castaignos joined Inter from Dutch giants Feyenoord in 2011, but has endured a difficult time at the San Siro, making just six league appearances since his switch.
One of the player’s pre-requisites is believed to be regular first-team football and despite Everton’s signing of Nikica Jelavic in January Castaignos would expect that at Goodison Park.
Moyes has faced difficulties in finding adequate striking options over the past two seasons, and while Jelavic appears to be a shrewd acquisition, Everton do not have too many other options in the attacking department.
Everton will likely face competition from West Ham for the player’s signature though, after it was reported that the Hammers were considering a move for him.
