Napoli have stated their intention not to let their star players leave in the summer and have revealed that it will take a 'crazy' offer for them to even consider selling striker Edinson Cavani.Â
Â
The Uruguay international has been on the hitlist of some of the biggest clubs in Europe after starring at the Copa America and last season helping Napoli qualify for the Champions League.Â
Â
Cavani has scored 41 goals in 57 Serie A games since joining from Palermo and has also impressed in Europe where his link up play with Ezequiel Lavezzi has been superb.Â
Â
Along with attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik, Cavani and Lavezzi have earned a reputation as three of the brightest stars in Italian football.Â
Â
The trio helped Napoli overcome Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 game as the Italians won 3-1, and the Blues have themselves been linked with the striker.Â
Â
The Sun believes that Chelsea and Manchester City have both been looking at signing the striker, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said that despite interest they will not be sold.Â
Â
"Right now everyone wants Cavani and Lavezzi but we are not looking to sell," said De Laurentiss, as reported in the Sun. "We are not using our players for the transfer market.
Â
"But if some crazy guy wants to put down £100million, then, maybe."
