Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba has reiterated his desire to leave the club by stating he wants a 'divorce' from Ewood Park.
Following bids from Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers earlier this month, Samba handed in a transfer request and claimed he was ready for a new challenge.
However, Blackburn's owners, Venky's, and manager Steve Kean are unwilling to let the towering centre-half leave given the club's precarious position in the Premier League table.
According to Sky Sports, Samba is currently training with the reserves after informing the club he is no longer 100% committed.
With less than a week to go before the end of the winter transfer window, the 27-year-old is desperate to leave, but it does not appear a conclusion to the saga is any closer.
"When a couple don't get on they get a divorce — and that's what me and Blackburn have to do," Samba told the Sun.
"Blackburn need players who are 100 per cent for the club — and I'm not.
"The only way to solve this is for them to let me go. It will be very difficult for me to play for this team again.
"I'm at the end of the road here. I'm not going to change so, for their good and mine, they must sell me now."
