Arsenal to Raid Barcelona Academy Once Again for Spain Under-19 Star

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may have finally lost Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, but the vastly experienced French boss is already eyeing up another young Catalan star.

According to reports on tribalfootball.com, Wenger has told his scouts to keep a close eye on Rafa Alcantara who is currently plying his trade in the second division of Spanish football with Barcelona B.

The young brother of Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara, Rafa is considered an even more exciting prospect than his sibling who has already proved his talent in the Barca first team.

More commonly known as Rafinha in Spain, the 18-year-old is yet to open contract negotiations with Barcelona which has left the door open for Arsenal.

Wenger has a habit of convincing young players to join Arsenal and then giving them the opportunity to impress in the first team. However, it is uncertain as to whether Rafinha would want to leave the Spanish champions.

The son of Brazilian World Cup winner Mazinho, Rafinha has represented Spain at Under-19 level on thee occasions and has earned a reputation as the best youngster at Barcelona.

Arsenal have already raided the Spanish club for Rafinha's former teammates Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral and now hope to bring a third young star to the Emirates.
