The agent of Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has confirmed that the striker could leave Italy at the end of the season, with Arsenal being touted as a potential destination.
The veteran Italian looks to be calling time on his 19-year stay at Juventus, after his brother and agent Stefano Del Piero said he was considering his options.
As reported by Sky Sports, he said: “There is no news at the moment but all the doors are open for a move away from Turin.
"There are no restrictions from our part. It all depends on what type of project a club has and what is exactly behind the proposal and the kind of football which would attract Alex, but the main interest is the project."
The 37 year-old attacker reportedly offered to remain with Juventus for at least one more season, but the Turin-based giants declined his request.
This, according to his agent has made it “very difficult to remain in Italy”, setting tongues wagging, with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain rumoured to be interested parties.
The rumours follow reports that the Gunners are close to agreeing a deal to bring German attacker Lukas Podolski to England. However, Del Piero's agent moved to confirm that he has not yet been formally approached by any clubs, but that there is interest.
“It's possible that there is interest [from Arsenal and QPR], but we're not aware of it. Our position at the moment is that we are willing to listen to any offers, but we're not going to let it get in the way of Alessandro's performances for the Bianconeri,” he told TuttoJuve.
Juventus signed Del Piero from Padova in 1993, with the attacker's contract due to expire in the summer. He has won five Serie A titles and the Champions League during his tenure.
