Dereck Chisora was in a confident frame of mind as he came face-to-face with opponent Vitali Klitschko and predicted an eighth round stoppage when the pair meet in Germany on February 18.
The 28-year-old Londoner lost his last fight in controversial fashion to Robert Henius but is hoping to respond by snatching Klitchko's WBC heavyweight title away from when the pair meet in Munich.
"Eight is my lucky number and Klitschko's going down in the eighth round," Chisora said. "He doesn't know what's coming for him. I am physically and mentally coming to take what's his and make it mine."
Chisora appeared in superb shape as he sat next to the 6ft 7" champion who responded by announcing the round in which he feels he will beat his British challenger.
"You will fall in round number six," predicted Klitschko before revealing the reason he picked Chisora as an opponent. "I know that this will not be an easy fight and I know how motivated you are. You want this title very much and that is why I chose you as an opponent."
The pair traded verbal blows through the press conference with Chisora certainly holding his own against the vastly experienced Russian who has previously overcome two Frank Warren fighters in Herbie Hide and Danny Williams.
"It's time for the new king and that will be me come February 18," declared Chisora. "I have so much fire inside me and everyone is supporting me. As I have said, he is the doctor and I am the black plague and I am coming to destroy him in his own back yard."
