Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has confirmed that Ron Vlaar and Fabian Delph could soon be leaving the club, with both players’ contracts expiring in the summer.  Ron Vlaar attracted interest from numerous clubs in the summer after his performances at the World Cup, and the Express report that both Manchester United and Arsenal are still keen on acquiring the Dutchman.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has identified former Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne as one of his main transfer targets for the January transfer window.  The Belgium international left Stamford Bridge in last season after struggling to break into the first-team squad, and his since impressed with new side Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

Manchester United are closing in on a £30million deal for Roma’s Kevin Strootman, and the Dutchman could complete the move in January.  Louis van Gall has targeted the midfielder since arriving at Old Trafford, but injuries have prevented the 24-year-old from completing any move away from Rome.  But according to the Daily Star, United are ready to finally make the deal happen and are expecting to acquire the £30million man in the new year.

Former Liverpool star Fernando Torres could be set for a shock return to the Reds, following a less than successful spell at AC Milan.  The Spaniard is currently on loan from Chelsea, but has managed just one goal in ten appearances for the San Siro club.  But according to the Mail On Sunday, Brendan Rodgers wants to give him the opportunity to recapture the form he showed at Anfield several years ago, where he scored 65 goals in 102 games before a £50million move to Chelsea.

Manchester City look set to win the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke, beating rivals United and Chelsea to the Spaniard.  City have reportedly held advanced talks with the 22-year-old who played at this summer’s World Cup with Spain and is already being dubbed ‘the new Xavi.’   According to the Daily Star, the midfielder has a £47million buyout clause, which Atletico are reluctant to accept offers below.
