Chelsea and Manchester City are set to go head-to-head this summer in a race to sign Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa.  It is thought that Manchester United are now favourites to secure the signature of Southampton’s Luke Shaw, and according to the Daily Star, both City and Chelsea have identified Kurzawa as an alternative.

According to reports, Arsenal are to make a shock move for Manchester United and England defender Chris Smalling as part of their summer transfer activity.  The Daily Star reveals that Arsenal are contemplating a £13million move for the United defender, mainly because Arsene Wenger is keen to get cover at centre back and at right back in the off-season.

Antoine Griezmann is continuing to attract interest from the Premier League as the English giants look ready to battle it out for his signature.  The Real Sociedad winger has continued to impress in La Liga and has been on the shortlist of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.  However according to the Mirror, Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton are all ready to make a summer move for the highly talented 23-year-old.

Cesc Fabregas could make a stunning return to Arsenal in the summer should Barcelona back down to pressure from fans that want the Spanish midfielder sold at the end of the season.  The Daily Mail reports that half of Barcelona supporters want the experienced midfielder, who re-joined Barcelona in 2011 after making a name for himself with the Gunners, to be sold after a disappointing season.
