USAIN BOLT: THE MOVIE, directed by Gael Leiblang, is an intimate and boundless documentary film of the life of athletic legend and cultural icon Usain Bolt.
The film was first shown in July and broke BBC records (reaching 3 million viewers). The DVD features an extra 30 minutes of never before seen footage, going deeper than ever before into what goes on behind the scenes in training sessions and the private life of the legendary Jamaican.
Having been granted exclusive access to Usain Bolt, Leiblang filmed the athlete over a 12 month period in the build up to the Olympics in London. Bolt answered all his critics in front of a global audience of 4 billion people on the 5th August as he successfully defended his Olympic 100m title and once again proved he is the fastest man on the planet.
From gruelling sessions on the practice track, to deejaying for fans in Italy and including his infamous false start at World Championships, this remarkable documentary takes us inside the life of the man who could become the greatest athlete the Olympics has ever seen.
Here is a taster of Usain Bolt talking about what goes on during a race.
