It is a summer of change at Liverpool this season and today has been a particularly significant day in the history of the club. That's right they launched their new kit. Plus there may have been a small announcement about Brendan Rodgers becoming the new manager.
But it is the kit that we are interested in as it is the first time Warrior Sports have produced a kit for a British team. It is a throw back to the old school kits of the early eighties and we are big fans.
It has a much more classic feel and certainly looks the business when modelled by Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard.
Now here is some of the blurb from Warrior.
"The new home kit is a celebration of the Club’s renowned heritage with inspiration drawn from Liverpool FC legends of old.
"Developed out of the brand’s global football headquarters in Wilmslow, England, the new Liverpool FC kit has been constructed by a hand-picked team of design and development experts and features unique technology for optimised performance on the pitch.
"Warrior Sports is also proud to announce the brand’s first football ambassador, Liverpool and Welsh international striker, Craig Bellamy.
"In a unique deal that will see the Bellamy’s sponsorship fee go directly to the Craig Bellamy Foundation in Sierra Leone, Warrior will work closely with the striker to raise global awareness of the Foundation and build on his work to date.
"The Liverpool front man will also work alongside Warrior to develop its debut football boot collection."
Well it all sounds very exiting so if you want to check out the video of Bellamy then simply click the following link.
