Liverpool Launch New Away Kit Celebrating the Mersey Docks

It is all change at Liverpool this summer as Brendan Rodgers arrived with a trio of assistants as the club look to return to the glory days of the 1970's and 80's when they were regularly winning league title.

As well as a change of manager the club have a new kit manufacturer who last week released the new home kit and have now launched the brand new away kit.

While the red home kit was a throwback to the days when the club were sponsored by Crown Paints and winning numerous trophies, the away kit takes it inspiration from the early 1900's.

According to Warrior Sports the new black kit has been designed as a nod to Liverpool's maritime roots and includes the revolutionary apparel system, War-Tech.

It all sounds very impressive so here is a bit of info from the Head of Warrior Football Richard Wright.

"The away kit draws strong parallels from the uniforms worn by the Liverpool dockyard worked who plied their trade at the Mersey Docks - the world's most influential ship building at the turn of the 20th century."
