Ever wondered which Hollywood star you would want to play you in a film about your life? The question was posted to over 30 managers as part of Yahoo's exclusive series of interviews with members of the League Managers' Association, and there were some very interesting answers given.
Robert De Niro, famous for his performances in classics like 'Taxi Driver', 'Goodfellas', 'Raging Bull' and perhaps to a lesser extent, 'Meet the Fockers', earned the dream casting call from a number of the UK's top football managers to play them in a film based on their lives.
Over 30 managers including Brendan Rodgers, Roy Keane and Alan Pardew were asked the question and De Niro emerged as the clear favourite with Clint Eastwood and George Clooney tied in second as they shared 20% of the vote.
Brad Pitt’s most demanding role to date could come in the form of Mick McCarthy if the former Republic of Ireland manager got his wish. Fortunately Mr Jolie won’t have to reprise the dodgy “Oirish” accent that he failed to conjure up in the Belfast-set thriller, 'The Devil’s Own'.
Roberto Mancini, who is always the picture of cool on the touchline, sees himself as a bit of a secret agent and nominated any James Bond actor to play him on the big screen.
Here is a list of the managers interviewed along with their choice of film star to play them.
