Well things are a lot calmer now than they were 48 hours
ago! We’re finally drying off our clothes which had been
soaked pretty much since the start of the race, so that’s

We’ve managed to come through the first low pressure
system with relatively little damage; only a broken baton
and few small things that take just a couple of hours to
repair. Consequently we’ve lost a couple of miles on the

Last night was OK, we were sailing with winds of 35 knots
with gusts of 45 knots. At the moment the sea state is OK,
it is sailable and we are trying to keep the boat together

*It's the second full day of the race and the fleet is still
quite bunched together, although we haven’t seen anyone

– the boat is performing well and there have been no major
