Georgie Twigg is 23 years old and was a member of the GB women's hockey squad who won bronze at the London 2012 Olympics.
She first played hockey at the age of 7, progressed through the England U16s and made her international debut in 2010 and she currently plays for Surbiton HC in the Investec Women's Premier Division.
As well as earning a place in the Olympic squad earlier this year, Georgie also managed to graduate this Summer from Bristol University with a 2:1 in Law.
After finishing 11th out of 12 at the World Cup it was a great comeback to win silver at the Commonwealths but it's so hard to reflect with anything but gut wrenching disappointment. Read More »
Since I’ve been in the England setup there has only been one occasion where we haven’t won a medal at a major tournament so to perform so poorly at the World Cup came as a major shock. Read More »
